Our dog stayed with Dog Day for just over two weeks while we traveled overseas.  She had a couple of minor issues while we were away, and we truly appreciated the prompt updates from the Dog Day staff and the care they took with our dog to make sure she was healthy and comfortable. This is a post I wrote almost 5 years ago and I am not sure I posted it:
My sweet puppy, Gracie,  had a fabulous time at her Meet and Greet today. Initially she was hesitant to go from the parking lot into the building but decided to walk with us inside. The staff was very understanding about the fact that since we have only had her two months, she might be afraid at first. However, it seems that she had a GREAT day and warmed up to other doggy friends quickly. We felt very secure about leaving our 11 month old baby with Dog Day Afternoon. Thank you for making it a supreme experience for her, and us!!

Today, 5 years later, Gracie still attends weekly with our older poodle, as well as boarding when we are out of town. Both of them absolutely LOVE going to Dog Day on a regular basis. Our senior poodle, Ricky, goes a little crazy when we drive into the parking lot - he just LOVES being there so much. The staff is well-trained at engaging all ages and types of dogs, and meeting their needs. We love boarding our pets with them as they always have staff on duty overnight which makes us feel very secure! We are blessed to have found such an AMAZING business. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dog Day Afternoon and their entire staff. They have gone above and beyond for our senior dog, Radar, and we are so incredibly thankful we found them.

Radar has some special needs and requires a little extra patience, attention, and understanding. We also recently lost our other dog, who had been Radar’s companion for 15 years, and he was really struggling with the loss. We wanted to find a place where he could safely socialize, have some fun, build confidence, and eventually have a place we could trust for boarding when needed.

From the very beginning, the staff at Dog Day Afternoon has been absolutely amazing. They have taken the time to understand Radar, accommodate his individual needs, and make sure he is comfortable and happy. It is so clear that they genuinely care about the dogs in their care and treat them like their own.

What means the most to us is that they haven’t just accommodated Radar. They have embraced him. They are incredibly patient, attentive, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure he has a positive experience. Knowing that he is somewhere where people understand him and are looking out for him gives us such peace of mind.

After losing his best friend of 15 years, seeing Radar start to socialize again, experience new things, and have people excited to see him has meant more to us than I can put into words. ❤️

Dog Day Afternoon is truly exceptional. The staff is kind, compassionate, accommodating, and absolutely wonderful. We are so grateful for everything they have done for Radar and for the care they continue to give him.

If you are considering daycare or boarding for your dog, especially a senior dog or one with special needs, I cannot recommend Dog Day Afternoon highly enough. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🐾

This review is LONG overdue! We have been bringing our Luna here since she was a puppy, and she is almost 8 years old now. Over the years, we have used them for both daycare and boarding, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about them.

With my crazy hospital work hours at ORMC, they have always gone above and beyond to accommodate our schedule, which has meant so much to us. More importantly, this place has genuinely become a second home for Luna. She absolutely loves going, and there is such peace of mind in knowing that when we leave her, she is with people who know her, love her, and care for her like she is one of their own.

The staff has always been incredibly kind, loving, attentive, and caring. After nearly 8 years, there is no one else we would trust more with our girl, whether it is just for a day of daycare or while we are away traveling.

Dog Day Afernoon is the best. I have used them for doggie daycare and for boarding, since they opened many years ago. The people are extremely nice and my doggies especially my almost 13 year old golden really enjoy going there.
